Altcase test store
MCP access
Altcase is a fictional phone case shop for testing shopping agents. test.altcase.co.uk serves the same store as altcase.co.uk, plus a remote Model Context Protocol server so an agent can browse cases and buy through tools instead of clicking through the pages.
Endpoint
https://test.altcase.co.uk/mcp · Streamable HTTP, protected with OAuth 2.1. Add it as a custom connector (Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector), or from Claude Code:

Signing in
When you connect, your client opens an Altcase sign-in page in the browser. Sign in with your Altcase account and the client receives an access token (valid for an hour, refreshed automatically). Requests to /mcp without a valid token get 401 with a WWW-Authenticate header pointing to the OAuth metadata at /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp. Dynamic client registration and PKCE (S256) are supported.
Tools
- list_products(category?, device?) → the catalogue, optionally only items that fit a phone model.
- get_product(product_id) → one product, with the phone models it comes in.
- quote_order(items[{product_id, device, quantity}]) → subtotal, delivery and total without buying.
- place_order(items[], shipping_name, shipping_address, email?) → a confirmed test order.
Prices are in pence (GBP) including VAT. UK delivery is £3.95, free on orders of £25 or more. Orders placed over MCP are not stored and do not appear in the browser cart.
